Crush It?

I just finished Crush It last night. It’s the story of Guy Vaynerchuk and how he built his wine lover’s enterprise. The short review is that the book really fails to deliver. In some ways Guy is right on point, but I personally couldn’t get past the tone (too ‘all about me’ for my taste) and it took him over half the book to really get to the point. In all fairness Guy does make some great points about building a personal brand platform, but was it worth the $20+ bucks…not really. I enjoyed Trust Agents much better.

Flyvertising

From Adweek: Since skywriting is no longer acceptable in advertising, German agency Jung von Matt has settled for “flyvertising,” attaching tiny ad banners to flies and letting them buzz around a convention center during the Frankfurt book fair.
